Disabled Access to Winter Palace!
by: Davide

Dear J M Collier,

Thank you for stopping by and leave your post.

For your information, the State Rooms of the Winter Palace now form one of the most popular sections of the Hermitage, and are essential viewing for all visitors to St. Petersburg. This means that the Winter Palace hosts the Hermitage Museum, so to speak they are in the same building.

To answer to your question, YES! the wheelchair is accessible (ramps/lifts)for disables people. You can rent for Free a wheelchair, but in order to do that you need to call in advance as staff assistance may be required.

If you want we can arrange a private tour of the Hermitage and take care of everything. Just get in touch with us for more info.

Hope it helps!
