We have been told that it is not safe to drink the water in St. Petersburg. Is this correct?

Ghardaia in Petersburg water NEW

The problem with the tap water in Petersburg is the parasite Ghardaia. It is easy to get and very difficult to overcome. Don't risk it!

Well, if you refer to tap water, yes! Is not safe to drink it as it isn't everywhere else in the world, apart from some few exceptions, Bottles water will be definitely your best choice, even for washing your teeth.
