Opened two years ago, the Rada & K today seems to be one of the most loved vegetarian restaurants in the city among locals, especially students. From office workers and traffic cops to young and hip people, once inside you won't feel out of place, but rather the chilled-out, friendly atmosphere will make you feel at ease. Located behind the famous Kazan Cathedral, here the staff couldn’t be more genuine and helpful, while the food couldn't be more tasty or well made. Offering a diverse selection of soups, salads, hot dishes and desserts from 30-90 rubles ($1 - $2.90), this cafeteria is not only a good place for a healthier-style meal, but also one of the cheapest vegetarian restaurants in St Petersburg.

The name of this café translates to "lovely green" and this small, homelike cafeteria is a lovely vegan spot to go with welcoming staff and delicious food.

Opened since 1995, Troitsky Most is one of the oldest and most popular vegetarian restaurants in the city. Serving a Russian menu along with Italian-inspired pastas and a limited selection of homemade vegetarian food, this vegan-friendly restaurant offers great food in a cozy atmosphere at affordable prices. Being part of a small local chain, when you're in St. Petersburg you will find five different branches belonging to Troistky. Among them the Troitsky Bridge Café at Kronverksky Prospect 35 seems to go extra mile for its customers.

Just a few minutes walk from St. Isaac's Cathedral you can grab a good bite and be inspired at the famous Idiot Café. As the favorite dining spot of the writer Fyodor Dostoevsky, this place today is a bit over-hyped, but it continues to deliver good authentic Russian cuisine and a decent selection of vegetarian food. Filled with old fashioned furnishings and an eclectic mix of items such as old typewriters and books decorating the walls, people come here more for the nice atmosphere and interior setting than for the food.
