Photography Policy - Gatchina and Oranienbaum

I will probably be in St. Petersburg in July. I am considering a trip to Gatchina and/or Oranienbaum. I last I heard, photography was not allowed inside the palaces at Oranienbaum. Is this still the case, or is photography of the interiors permitted? Is photography permitted inside the buildings at Gatchina? Thanks.

Is it Allowed to Take Photos in Oranienbaum & Gatchina?
by: Davide

Hello Sir,

Thank you for visiting our website.

In regards to your question, I would like to inform you that still up to today is not allowed to take photos inside the Grand Menshikov Palace or similar buildings in the area, if your plan is to Oranienbaum and visit the main palace. While, if you go to Gatchina you can take photos inside the Grand Palace but you must pay a fee.

Outside both parks and gardens of each complex, you can take as many photos as you like. No problem!

I hope it helps!
