I wanted to know if Mid-March is a good time to visit St. Petersburg and Moscow with a 3 yr old in terms of weather?

Thank you for visiting our website.

February and March are not good months to visit Saint Petersburg regardless of whether you travel alone or with your child. The weather won't be so good! It will be cold and rainy with freezing wind and perhaps still snow. Also during this time the canal and rivers will be frozen and street slippery due to the weather condition, so no boat tours will be operating.

Therefore I may suggest you to plan your Russian trip from May to October, which is the best time to come so that you can enjoy the city to the fullest.
